Nicolas Darvas

Nicolas Darvas was a professional dancer and part time stock invesotr that shot to fame in the 1960′s after revealing how he turned $25k into $2,5Million. Which I am guessing in the 1960′s was a lot of “lolly”? Still is but you know what I mean.

He wrote a great book called “How I Made $2 Million in the stock Market.” and I am telling you now..as far as successful trading mind sets go this is about all you need.  You can see the whole C.A.N.S..L.I.M. method and many successful trend followers adopted his system to find some of the very best stocks out there.

BUT what everyone does is they try to find his “system” i.e the boxes he used and think that’s what made him so rich. It wasn’t the system. Any trend following system would have made you rich had you got into the market leaders in the mid 1950′s bull market and held on to them for the whole move. It wasn’t so much his methos as it was the market and he took huge risk.

Many people did just that in the 1990′s tech bubble. Simply go heavily itno stocks like Amazon/YHOO/QCOM etc and ride for 500%+ profits. It was the MARKET not the system that made these people rich. Got it?

Nicolas Darvas himself would simply buy into only 3 stocks at a time. But only great stocks that were trending up. Cut his losses and ride his prifits. It’s a very simple way to make a lot of profit IN THE RIGHT MARKET. I’ve seen these conditions repeat them-selves sevral times.

1990 – 2000 Anything tech and especially Interent was a bubble you could not fail in.

2003-2007 Stocks like HANS, TIE, TZOO, DRYS, NTRI,CROX,ICE the market leaders

2009 -2011 LULU,AAPL,DECK,APKT,TZOO are the new leaders.

Buy Darvas’s book “How I Made $2 Million.” read it several times and that alone will save you spending thousands on inferior stock trading courses.
