Frequently Asked Questions About Momentum Stock Trading Method
Q) What is Momentum Weekly Stock Trading System?
A) My weekly momentum stock trading system is a method I have used to describe my system of trading whose trade duration lasts from a few weeks to a few months using weekly charts. Momentum weekly trading gets it name from putting on trades that attempt to capture swing moves typical of a bull market from a swing low (when the market corrects down after a sustained rally and then begins to go up once again) to a new swing high which would mark the end of the new rally. Or in a bear market, where the market makes a swing high (when the market rallies up after a sustained move down and then begins to go down once again) to a new swing low which would mark the end of the new leg down.
We have absolutely nailed some great moves in the past 6 years or so. Because I focus on how the stock market actually works and not finding the latest fad chart pattern, or trying to get some “fuzzy logic trading software” to do all the work for me.
Some of our most memorable trade in the past 6 years have been:
TASR, TZOO, TIE, HANS,CROC, BIDU, FSLR, DRYS
If you are seeking lots of intra day or even end of day action then this is not for you. I can go weeks/months with nothing before I spot my next potential monster stock.
I also short stocks when these high flyers break down.
Q) What kind of markets does Momentum Weekly Stock System Trader trade?
A) Momentum Weekly Stock Trader is designed specifically for end-of-day stock trading. Once a week. This method is passive. It’s not designed for you to watch the markets during the trading day. It’s not designed so you give up your “job” and start the high stress of trading full time. Although once you get your account up to $400,000+ I see no reason not to “semi-retire.”
Q) Can M.S.T.S. Trader be traded with forex or futures?
A) In a word no. I do not trade FOREX and I keep preaching to people you need to:
Focus on one method
Focus on one method.
Be extremely happy with 40% annualised R.O.I.’s
Invest in great momentum stocks in the 2-6 month time frame.
Q) Can I use M.S.T.S. Trader to trade options?
A) If you seek out sufficient options education or are already an experienced options trader, you can trade options with M.S.T.S. Trader. But I do not recommend it. You must protect your capital at all costs and options do not let you do this. Most people simply gamble in the options market.
Q) What kind of trading experience do I need in order to be able to understand and trade with M.S.T.S. trader?
A) You can be a complete beginner or a seasoned veteran of trading and be able to understand and trade quickly and easily with M.S.T.S. Trader. I include extra instruction especially for you if you’re a beginner, including a e-books dedicated “The 7 Habits of a highly Successful Trader” book that’s a quick read. Experienced traders can safely skip over this introductory material. It really is as simple and passive as you can get.
Q) Do I need charting software to trade with M.S.T.S. Trader?
A) You need the ability to plot stock charts with the M.S.T.S. Trader If you don’t already have your own charting software, we give you a copy of my end of day Darvas Charting software when you purchase M.S.T.S. services.
Q) Frankly with so much Bull on the Net about trading systems I do not know what to believe:
A) I agree. Some of the claims are absolutely criminal. You know you just have to apply a bit of common sense. If someone found a Holy Grail to make 300%+ per annum trading penny stocks do you really think they would work their butts off marketing it?
But part of the problem is you as well. I mean many people are so lazy they want to believe these claims, no matter how crazy they are. They want a piece of software to make these gains for them. They want huge gains with very little risk. The two NEVER go together.
What is you are seeking? If you want a new “job” then MSTS is not your answer. If you want a passive method. A low risk and sometimes very high reward method to make about 30% -40% per annum in the stock market then give it a go.
