All Stock Trading Information Should be Free!
Does that sound ridiculous to you? It does to me.
Yet, there seems to be a view among some (reflected in a recent emails that I received) that just because you are “new” your education should be free.
Well, when I started school, I was “new”… but my parents still paid my school fees.
When I started university, I was “new”… but I still paid my university fees.
And when I began to learn about stock trading, I was “new”… but I was still happy to pay for certain programs, seminars and products that would fast-track my education.
I firmly believe that:
1. Teachers have a right to get paid for what they do. I never expected my school teachers or university lecturers to teach for free, and I wouldn’t expect anyone in Internet marketing to teach for free either.
2. You should expect to pay for something valuable. You wouldn’t expect to go into a store and get a new outfit for free… why is education any different?
3. An “entitlement mentality” will set you back big time in the Stock Trading game. Why? Because this is a BUSINESS. Unless you understand the concepts of investing for a return and trading value (e.g. money) for value, how can you expect to build a business and trade your own stock trading account?
Ironically, there is actually a LOT of free information about stock trading available on the Internet, and many of those who sell information still readily share many insights, ideas, strategies and tactics for free. This site is a major example of that. Plus, this is one of the most luctrative businesses to get into!
So why not be grateful and be willing to invest in your education, rather than complain that some information (typically, legitimately high value information) is not for free?
